A Celebration of Women's Art

The Cocoa Beach Library displays its commitment to arts and culture in many ways, not least of which are the rotating exhibits of local artists’ work and coordinating displays of books and other materials to educate the public in rich artistic traditions.

One such upcoming display will feature a selection of materials to celebrate Women’s Artistic Achievements. The materials are selected and curated by June Blum, artist and Art Chair Member of the Friends of the Cocoa Beach Library. Ms. Blum’s selections are supported by contributions by the library staff, who are happy to participate in this worthy display.

Some of the books on view will be Artemisia Gentileschi by Mary Garrard, Georgia O'Keefe by Sarah Greenough, Line by June Blum with an introduction by Cynthia Dantzic, Black and White Paintings by June Blum with an introduction by Andrew D. Hottle, The Book as Art by Krystyna Wasserman, Antique Mirrors and 100 New York Artists by Cynthia Dantzic, Art Talk by Cindy Nemser, and Pictures of People – Alice Neel by Pamela Allara.

The display can be easily viewed adjacent to the checkout desk at the library through April 19.

The library is located at 550 N. Brevard Ave., Cocoa Beach, FL 32931.
