Dr. Riane Eisler Distinguished Speaker For Women's History Month At U.S. Department of State



Veteran Feminists member Dr. Riane Eisler (top center photo on left) headlined a U.S. Congressional briefing on March 20th sponsored by the Center for Partnership StudiesCaring Economy Campaign on The Economic Return from Investing in Care Work and Early Childhood Education."

The briefing was introduced by Congressman Jim Moran and also featured economist Steve Barnett and others from the Campaign. It highlighted the CPS/Urban Institute report National Indicators and Social Wealth on going beyond GDP to measure national economic success.

On March 21, Eisler was honored as Distinguished Speaker for Women's History Month at the U.S. Department of State, an event co-hosted by the Executive Women at State and the Office of Civil Rights. Eisler's enthusiastically - received speech was "What's Good for Women is Good for the World: Foundations for a Caring Economy."
