Screening of "Stories from Women's Liberation"

Jennifer Lee's wonderful film, "STORIES FROM WOMEN'S LIBERATION", which has interviews with Betty Friedan, Alix Kates Shulman and many early feminist activists, (including me) is showing at the Laemmle on October 17 at 7:30. Some quick facts about the "Feminist:Stories from Women's Liberation:
  • Winner! "Best of the Fest" for Documentary at the Los Angeles Women's International Film Festival 2013. 
  • Jennifer Lee was invited to screen the film at the Islamic International University in Islamabad, Pakistan. 
  • The film was in official selection at the Cincinnati Film Festival. It inspired audience members to request to use the film for "intergenerational house screenings." 
  • Jennifer Lee is screening and speaking at universities and colleges. Universities on the tour: University of Colorado, Boulder, Loyola Marymount University, Smith College for "Feminists of Smith Unite!" 
  • She has already screened and spoken at UCLA, Pasadena City College, Santa Monica College, and Hampshire College.
  • Will be featured at March 2014 Boston University conference on the Women's Liberation Movement as part of the panel, "Documenting the Second Wave on Film." 
  • Jennifer is writing a module with the National Center for History in the School based at UCLA for the film's use in public schools.
