Dear friends,
As Veteran Feminists of America's chief bottle washer I receive countless emails daily on feminist issues. VFA has a superb webpage, www.vfa.us, but it is impossible and impractical to include everything on that website, so I'm putting news feminists should know about on a BLOG and hope to send it out once or twice a month. Items will include reviews of feminist books, articles from newspapers and magazines, letters from feminist activists, and especially MEMORIES- YOUR memories of early events and other happenings.
The film "MAKERS," which PBS aired recently, has re-awakened an interest in the Movement, but as fine as the movie is, it contains some mistakes, and it doesn't credit many of the leaders around the country. So it it vital that pioneer feminists write down memories of events they made happen and participated in, so that our true history will be known.
I beg all pioneer feminists to send their memories to jcvfa@aol.com, and to make sure that emails you receive from http://JacquiCeballos.blogspot.com will not be sent to the Spam folder.
